Despite a knee injury suffered when scrambling against the Titans last month -- the last time he's played -- Taylor doesn't risk further injury in running when he's back on the field.
"There's no other added risk," head coach Rex Ryan said Wednesday. "So he's healthy. This is as healthy as he's been all season. So I'm excited to see him. I'm excited to see a guy who can run a 4.4 [second 40-yard dash] back there at quarterback. I'm excited to see his arm talent and the weapons that we can surround him with."
Despite not being listed on the injury report through the first two weeks of the season, Taylor said Monday that this week is the first time that he's felt fully healthy.
He doesn't anticipate any hesitation when tucking the ball away and taking off as a runner.
"Just gonna go out there and be myself and the trainers did a good job of getting me back to where I’m at now and I guess there is no hesitation," Taylor said Monday.
Meanwhile, Percy Harvin did not practice Wednesday because of a knee injury, the team said on its injury report. Harvin had previously been listed with a hip injury.
Asked about Harvin's status for Sunday's game, Ryan said Wednesday, "I’m not sure, you know we’ll see. Again I think they’re still really looking at him and things like that. So I don’t have any update on him."
Wide receiver Sammy Watkins (ankle) was limited in Wednesday's practice, although he participated more than he did Monday, when he left after stretching to work inside with a trainer.
Running back Karlos Williams (concussion) was a full participant, indicating that he has been cleared for contact.
