Moore Proving He's Capable Of More If Given The Opportunity
After putting up a combined 161 yards the past two games, Lance Moore is suddenly on pace to become Detroit’s most prolific No. 3 receiver since Titus Young had 607 yards in 2011, when Young played alongside Calvin Johnson and Nate Burleson.

As ESPN.com's Michael Rothstein notes, Moore is reviving his career at age 32 with more targets, receptions and yards than he had last season with Pittsburgh, when he played in 14 games. He’s on pace for 608 yards -- his best production since 2012 in New Orleans.

“He’s not the biggest guy, but he’s jumpy, competitive and he runs routes well,” head coach Jim Caldwell said. “He found some nice holes in seams and made some nice runs after the catch as well, so he did a nice job for us.”

That’s been critical, especially as tight end Eric Ebron has dealt with a knee injury. It probably isn’t a coincidence Moore’s production has jumped while Ebron has been out.

Ebron will return this week, so some of the targets Moore has been seeing could go to the second-year tight end.

But he’s also proven he can be a reliable option for quarterback Matthew Stafford in recent weeks, and as the Lions try to figure out how to best use their offense, that’s going to be key -- both on the field in real life and as an emergency fantasy option in deep leagues.
