Rams, Eagles Swap QBs; Foles To St. Louis; Bradford To Philly
As Adam Schefter of ESPN first reported, the Rams and Eagles are close to finalizing a trade that would send quarterback Sam Bradford to Philly in exchange for quarterback Nick Foles and “draft pick compensation.”

From a fantasy football perspective, the move will continue a major overhaul of the Eagles offense since coach Chip Kelly took the control of the team's personnel reins this offseason.

They’ve already traded running back LeSean McCoy to the Buffalo Bills while wide receiver Jeremy Maclin is reportedly heading to Kansas City as a free agent.

Bradford, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2010 draft, has not played in a regular season game since his 2013-14 season ended with a torn ACL. He was on track to start at quarterback for the Rams this season before suffering a second torn left ACL in the preseason.

Like Bradford, Foles ended the 2014-15 season on the sidelines due to injury. Foles suffered a broken collarbone in a Nov. 2 win over the Texans and was replaced by Mark Sanchez, who recently re-signed with Philadelphia.

Drafted in the third round of the 2012 draft, Foles broke out in the 2013-14 season running Kelly's up-tempo offense. Foles finished that season with 27 touchdown passes to just two interceptions while throwing for 2,891 yards.

Meanwhile, Bradford is in the final year of his contract. As Profootballtalk.com's Mike Florio notes the move wouldn’t necessarily preclude the Eagles making another trade to get in position to draft Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota. For now, though, he joins Sanchez on the depth chart while reuniting with former Rams coach and current Eagles offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur.
