Harvin Held Out Wednesday; Will Try Again Friday
Following up on an item in this week's Team Notes. ... Percy Harvin, who left the Week 16 loss to New England with a rib injury, did not practice Wednesday ahead of Sunday's visit to Miami.
Meanwhile, center Nick Mangold (high ankle sprain) remained in a walking boot Wednesday, but he's still holding out hope he can play in the season finale Sunday against the Miami Dolphins.
"Hope so," said Mangold, who was talking gingerly around the locker room.
The Jets are off today for Christmas. Friday is the final practice of the season. Head coach Rex Ryan didn't rule out Harvin or Mangold.
"This time of year, most guys are mailing it in," Ryan said. "These guys are doing just the opposite."

Meanwhile, Nick Folk (right hip) and Chris Johnson (knee) practiced fully; both will play as usual.
