Harvin did not practice on Wednesday, and head coach Rex Ryan says it will be "a stretch" for him to play.
But according to the Associated Press, Harvin is out of a walking boot and the swelling in his left ankle has decreased considerably since he was hurt Sunday late in the fourth quarter of New York's 30-24 overtime loss at Minnesota. Harvin says his rehabilitation is going well and "it shouldn't be a problem" for him to play.
Fantasy owners probably shouldn't take him at just at his word; fortunately, we'll have evidence in the form of increasing practice time today and Friday if he really has a chance of playing. ...
Meanwhile, tight end Jace Amaro, sidelined the last two games with a concussion, also made an appearance, wearing the red, no-contact jersey, as required by the NFL's concussion protocol. On Monday, Ryan seemed encouraged about Amaro's chances of playing this week.
Defensive end Muhammad Wilkerson (turf toe) and safety Antonio Allen (hand) also didn't practice. Kicker Nick Folk (right hip) was limited. Chris Johnson (knee) practiced fully.
