McCoy Closing In On Franchise Rushing Record
As Philadelphia Inquirer staffer Zach Berman notes, LeSean McCoy needs 48 yards to break the Eagles' franchise rushing record.

McCoy has 6,491 career yards. Wilbert Montgomery (6,538) has held the record since 1984.

"It's something cool," McCoy said. "I never imagined when I got drafted here that I'd potentially have the chance to hold the rushing record as an Eagle. That's something big. That's something I'm looking forward to. The main goal is just to win the game, obviously, but in the way of doing that, I'd love to accomplish that."

It won't necessarily be easy this week.

The Eagles rank sixth in rushing offense at 130.2 per game and fifth in passing at 286.0 per game, as much balance as any team in the NFL. But the Sports Xchange believes Seattle is sure to decide that its best course of action is to stop the run and force the Eagles to pass against a healthy secondary.
