Bowe's Legal Issues Won't Be An Issue Any Time Soon
According to the Kansas City Star, the municipal court hearing for wide receiver Dwayne Bowe, who is accused of speeding and possessing marijuana, has been postponed from Wednesday until Jan. 22.

Riverside police arrested Bowe shortly before midnight Nov. 10 for allegedly speeding and possessing more than 10 grams of marijuana. In a statement issued after the arrest, Bowe’s attorney, Kevin E.J. Regan, said his client was “unequivocally, 100 percent innocent.”

A police officer stopped Bowe’s 2011 Audi A8 after he noticed it traveling 48 mph in a 35 mph zone. Bowe told the officer that he did not have his driver’s license but he gave the officer an expired insurance card. Two passengers also were in the vehicle.

The officer detected what he suspected was a strong marijuana odor coming from inside the vehicle, police said. He later found two containers of what the officer suspected to be marijuana, police said.

Bowe stated that “they had smoked a little” marijuana while waiting at the airport, according to the police report.

The fact that the next hearing isn't until after the season pretty much means fantasy owners can continue to roll with Bowe if that was already their desire. There will be no team or league discipline until the legal process runs its course.
