Jennings, Vikings Agree To Five-Year Deal
Former Packers wide receiver Greg Jennings reached an agreement on a five-year deal with the Minnesota Vikings.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, who first reported the news, it's a five-year contract.

Jennings, 29, finished with career lows in receptions (36), yards per catch (10.2) and total yards (366) after missing half of the season with a torn muscle in his groin.

He led Green Bay with six catches and a score in the Packers' 45-31 loss to San Francisco in an NFC divisional playoff game.

Jennings has been Aaron Rodgers' favorite target the past few years. Before his injury-marred 2012 season, he had caught 67 or more passes in each of the previous four seasons, and gone over 1,000 yards receiving in all but one of those years. He finished with 949 yards in 2011 after missing three games with a knee injury.

He's in the top 10 in Packers franchise history in catches (425, seventh), yards receiving (6,537, seventh) and touchdown catches (53, fifth).

The Vikings have a serious need at the position after trading Percy Harvin to Seattle.

In fact, after trading Harvin and cutting Michael Jenkins, the team had only three wide receivers with NFL experience: Jerome Simpson, Jarius Wright and Stephen Burton. In addition to adding to their own roster at a position of great need, the Vikings diminish the depth of a divisional rival.

From a Fantasy perspective, however, one could easily argue it was high time the Packers culled their very talented receiving corps. Jennings' departure leaves the team with a still very talented trio of wideouts in Jordy Nelson, James Jones and Randall Cobb. It would also seem to secure Jermichael Finley's roster spot -- at least for this year.
