LaDainian Tomlinson Leaving Minnesota; Jets Next
(3/11 3:52 PM PT)
The Facts:
At about 6:10 p.m. ET, Tomlinson left Vikings headquarters accompanied by a member of the Vikings' personnel department. Tomlinson was carrying a purple Vikings jersey (No. 21, it appeared). He said a quick goodbye to the staffer, jumped in a limo and departed the premises.
Reported by ESPN.com
Diehards Line:
ESPN's Adam Schefter has reported Tomlinson has a tentative visit scheduled for Friday with the New York Jets -- something LT subsequently confirmed in telling SI.com's Jim Trotter that he enjoyed his visit to Minnesota but is heading to New York for a second visit. ... According to SI.com's Peter King, Tomlinson could visit the Eagles and Saints after meeting with the Jets. ESPN's Chris Mortensen, however, believes the Jets have a legitimate shot at landing LT. ... Stay tuned. We haven't heard the last of this one.

Bills Re-Sign TE Joe Klopfenstein
(3/11 3:45 PM PT)
The Facts:
The Bills addressed their thin numbers at the TE position Thursday re-signing Klopfenstein.
Reported by BuffaloBills.com
Diehards Line:
Klopfenstein was originally signed by the Bills last season on two separate occasions (Nov. 18, Nov. 28). He appeared in just the season finale for Buffalo making one reception for 11 yards in the 30-7 victory over the Colts. Buffalo has only one other tight end under contract in 2009 fourth-round pick Shawn Nelson. Derek Schouman, a restricted free agent, was tendered a qualifying offer last week. Jonathan Stupar is an exclusive rights free agent.

Redskins Sign TE Sean Ryan
(3/11 3:40 PM PT)
The Facts:
Ryan, last with the Kansas City Chiefs, has signed with the Redskins, the team announced Thursday.
Reported by the Washington Post

Used primarily as a blocking TEthroughout his six-year career, Ryan last season had personal-best totals with 14 receptions for 135 yards and two touchdowns. He has 26 catches for 240 yards and two touchdowns in his career. Unrestricted free agent Todd Yoder has filled the blocking role for Redskins the past four seasons. Pro Bowler Chris Cooley and rising third-year player Fred Davis are expected to form one of the league's top pass-catching tandems in the 2010 season.

Matt Moore Ready To Sign Tender Offer
(3/11 2:05 PM PT)
The Facts:
Moore has decided to sign the team's one-year qualifying offer of $3.043 million, according to his representatives. "It's a done deal," said agent Lynn Lashbrook.
Reported by the Charlotte Observer
Diehards Line:
The signing locks in Moore with the Panthers for the 2010 season. Carolina placed the highest possible restricted free agent tender on Moore last week to prevent other teams from pursuing him. After tendering Moore last week, the Panthers released Jake Delhomme and declared that Moore was their starting quarterback.

Following up on the ongoing story. ... Tomlinson's agent has ensured some leverage as he negotiates a potential contract Thursday with Minnesota. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Tomlinson has tentatively scheduled a visit Friday to the New York Jets.
Reported by ESPN.com
Diehards Line:
The timing forces some urgency on the Vikings as they discuss terms with agent Tom Condon. Antonio Bryant's Deal Worth Up To $29 Million
(3/10 10:17 PM PT)
The Facts:

Carson Palmer said over the weekend that he has texted Bryant in a recruiting effort to get him to come to Cincinnati. And with Chad Ochocinco entering his 10th season and entering an option year in 2011, Bryant could eventually make a bid to possibly become the team’s top receiver. LaDainian Tomlinson Arrives In Minnesota
(3/10 7:23 PM PT)
The Facts:
Following up on an ongoing story. ... The Vikings are going to try to convince Tomlinson that after nine seasons of being a key player in San Diego's offense, he will fit into a supporting role behind Adrian Peterson. The sales pitch began Wednesday night over dinner and will continue Thursday at Winter Park.
Reported by the Minneapolis Star Tribune
Diehards Line:
Tomlinson met in a private dining room at a downtown Minneapolis steakhouse with HC Brad Childress and OC Darrell Bevell. "I'm sure he wants to know what our vision is for him, and then our sense for him is will he fit?" Childress told reporters on Wednesday. ... For what it's worth, Vikings officials have taken time in recent days to study tape of Tomlinson. All have come to the same conclusion about a soon-to-be 31-year-old running back with plenty of mileage on his tires. "He still has some juice left in the tank," VP of player personnel Rick Spielman said of LT, who is clearly the Vikings choice to replace Chester Taylor as their third-down back. ... Stay tuned.

Ravens Agree To Terms With Derrick Mason
(3/10 5:26 PM PT)
The Facts:
The Baltimore Ravens reached a two-year agreement in principle with Mason on Wednesday. "We know exactly what we're getting with Derrick and that's production,” GM Ozzie Newsome said.
Reported by BaltimoreRavens.com
Diehards Line:
Newsome went on to explain, "Every Ravens fan knows what Derrick brings to this team. It's reliability, toughness, leadership, the fight to win, the want of the ball in the clutch times. He has a two-year history with Joe [Flacco] that says 'we know how to produce together.' They are on the same page. ..." Raven returns to a revamped receiving corps which will now includes newcomers Anquan Boldin and Donte' Stallworth. How Mason fits in with the new components will be worth watching in coming weeks.
