Why Johnny Manziel is the perfect fit for the Cleveland Browns.

Johnny Manziel is nearly a perfect fit for the Cleveland Browns; the similarities in the two teams especially in a skill position point of view is incredible. For instance Manziel has flourished over the last two seasons throwing to three big bodied receivers in Mike Evans, Derel Walker, & Malcome Kennedy. His favorite target through the last two seasons was Evans; who is 6’5 and weighs 225 lbs or you can call him a slightly taller version of the Brown’s fantasy football star WR Josh Gordon; who is 6’3 and weighs 225 lbs. Gordon led the NFL in receiving yards in 2013 and he had to deal with three different starting QB’s throughout the season. Can you imagine if Gordon was able to get in sync with a QB like Manziel and actually play a full season with one QB?

Let’s not forget that the Brown’s also have an absolute stud at the TE position in Jordan Cameron; Cameron is 6’5 and weighs 245 lbs. to go along with his exceptionally soft hands for such a big target. Many will ask how Manziel will do with the Brown’s Offensive Line and the 49 sacks allowed in 2013; or what will he do without a solid starting RB? Let’s not forget that Manziel can hurt you in numerous ways; in 2012 he put on a rushing show running for 1,400 yards and 21 TD’s. After his insane rookie campaign the critics were saying that they do not think Manziel could lead a team by throwing the ball; his response was throwing for 4,114 yards and 37 TD’s to just 13 INT’s.

If the trio of Brandon Weeden, Jason Campbell, & Brian Hoyer can throw for 4,000+ yards and 26 TD’s and only take 49 sacks on the season then there is no reason to believe that an athlete and a winner like Johnny Manziel can’t come into Cleveland and make the Browns playoff contenders. Even if it takes packaging the #4 and the #26 overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft in order to get Johnny Football the Browns must go all in for the most electrifying football player in the last two NCAA seasons.
