Week 17 DFS Flex Plays DraftKings 2016

By Armando Marsal
Armando Marsal On DraftKings, there is a flex spot which allows you to take different approaches in your lineup construction. Our goal every week is to find you some solid options that fit in the flex position and provide some nice upside. Let’s dive right into some flex targets for this week.

Running Back

Tevin Coleman $5,100 vs. New Orleans Saints
Coleman is a risky play due to the uncertainty of the amount of touches he will receive. However, he has shown numerous times this season, that he can do a lot with a little. Just last week, he rushed for 90 yards on nine carries and scored a touchdown. A couple of weeks back, he scored twice on 10 touches. This matchup is one that favors Coleman as the Saints are yielding 85.7 rushing yards per game and have surrendered 17 rushing touchdowns to opposing backs, as wells as, 77 receptions and 772 receiving yards, while giving up four receiving touchdowns. In Week 3, he totaled 89 yards and found the pay dirt three times against the Saints.

LeGarrette Blount $5,700 at Miami Dolphins
With a win, the Patriots lock up the number one seed in the AFC, so I expect them to play their starters as if it were any other week. Blount has scored at least one touchdown in four consecutive games and has scored at least one touchdown in all but three games this season. He faces off against the Dolphins who are yielding 109.1 rushing yards per game, while giving up six rushing touchdowns. Blount rushed for 123 yards on 29 carries and scored a touchdown in Week 2 against the Dolphins. He should be able to run all over them this weekend.

Wide Receiver

Cameron Meredith $5,200 at Minnesota Vikings
Meredith is averaging 11 targets, eight receptions, 103.7 receiving yards, and 24.4 fantasy points in his last three games, while scoring two touchdowns during that stretch. This is not the best of matchups, but he is getting peppered with targets and over the last five games, the Vikings are yielding 13 receptions and 181.6 receiving yards per game, while allowing seven touchdowns.

Allen Robinson $5,500 at Indianapolis Colts
I liked Robinson last week and I am going back to the well once more this week. Despite his struggles all season, he is still averaging 9.3 targets per game. He had a nice game against the Titans last week, catching nine of his 12 targets for 147 yards. He gets a good matchup this week against a team he had success against earlier this season. In Week 4, he caught five of his 10 targets for 55 yards and a touchdown against the Colts. After a subpar season, I am expecting Robinson to finish the season on a strong note.

Tight End

Eric Ebron $3,600 vs. Green Bay Packers
Ebron gets a good matchup against the Packers who are yielding 63.7 receiving yards per game to opposing tight ends, while giving up five touchdowns. In addition, they have allowed +1.5 points above expectations to the position. Ebron is averaging 7.5 targets per game over his last four. Earlier this season, he finished with five receptions for 69 yards against the Packers. Since they are playing for the division, it is very likely that we will get four quarters out of Ebron.
