The waiver wire can be your best friend in fantasy football. Especially in times like these where injuries are piling up. That being said, let’s waste no more time and take a look at some players you may want to target on waivers.

Quarterback

Colin Kaepernick – 49ers: Kaepernick continues to be a very productive fantasy quarterback, topping 20 fantasy points in three of his last for starts and has not scored below 16 fantasy at all this season. His ability to run the ball increases his floor and being that the Niners are usually trailing, it increases his opportunity. This week he faces a Bears defense that struggles against the pass.

Running Back

Kenneth Dixon – Ravens: The running back situation in Baltimore is murky, but Dixon continues to play more offensive snaps and received 17 touches in Week 12, which was the most he has received all season. He now has 12 targets and nine receptions over his last three games, and played nearly 50 percent of the offensive snaps last game. He should continue to get opportunities in this offense and has plenty of upside in PPR formats.

Charles Sims – Bucs: Sims remains on IR, but is eligible to return in Week 14 and has returned to practice as of last week. Barring setbacks, he could return to this backfield after this upcoming game and regain his role as a change of pace back. If that is the case, he could help fantasy owners in need come playoff time.

Others to consider: Wendell Smallwood – Eagles, Denard Robinson – Jaguars

Wide Receiver

Taylor Gabriel – Falcons: Gabriel has five targets in each of his last three games and has scored at least one touchdown in three of his last four games, scoring four touchdowns in that span. In addition, he has scored double-digit fantasy points in four straight games. For those fantasy owners hurting at the receiver position, Gabriel could be of help.

Marquess Wilson – Bears: Since coming off of the PUP list (two games), Wilson has received 15 targets, caught nine passes for 160 yards, and scored a touchdown. He is coming off of a huge performance where he caught eight of his 11 targets for 125 yards and a touchdown. He has a very good matchup at hand in Week 13 against the 49ers defense that has been atrocious all season.

Malcolm Mitchell – Patriots: Mitchell has scored three touchdowns in his last two games and has been targeted 12 times in that span. With Chris Hogan out and Rob Gronkowski not fully healthy, Mitchell could continue to see a decent amount of volume in Week 13 against a Rams defense that got lit up by the Saints last week.

Others to consider: Quincy Enunwa – Jets, Marqise Lee – Jaguars, Dontrelle Inman – Chargers, Tyler Boyd – Bengals, Brandon LaFell – Bengals, Adam Thielen – Vikings, Cameron Meredith - Bears

Tight End

Vance McDonald – 49ers: McDonald has received six or more targets in five consecutive games. In addition, he has scored a touchdown in two of his last four games and has scored double-digit fantasy points in three of his last four games. For those who have Gronk and are looking for a backup plan (if he misses) or stream tight ends, McDonald could be of service.

Others to consider: Jared Cook – Packers, C.J. Fiedorowicz - Texans
