Tua Tagovailoa QB MIA ATL START Tua came back last week and put in a solid fantasy performance against JAX. This week he gets Atlanta who is ranked as a top 6 most forgiving fantasy defense to opposing QBs. I like his chances in a six week BYE to be a startable QB.
Devontae Booker RB NYG CAR SIT Carolina has been very stingy vs opposing RBs. Booker's receiving prowess and lack of healthy WRs could bolster his number. And you may have few other choices, but this is a less than favorable matchup.
Damien Williams RB CHI TAM SIT Williams is still on Covid-IR as of Friday and due to his unvaccinated status can't be activated until Saturday. Even if activated, he'll be facing some significant headwinds: (1) he won't have practiced for 10 days, (2) Tampa is the toughest run defense out there; although they do allow points to pass catching backs like Williams and (3) Herbert had a breakout game last week vs GB. I suspect if Williams is activated he will at best get 1/2 the touches which will make it difficult to get to benchmark startable numbers.
Miles Sanders RB PHI LV START Much has been made this week about the light usage of Sanders amongst fantasy twitter. Last week, they avoided Tampa's strong run defense, this week they get LV's much more favorable rushing matchup. Look for Sanders to get more opportunities this week and succeed in putting in a startable number.
O.J. Howard TE TAM CHI START With Gronk out, six teams on BYE and TE a notoriously thin position, Howard could provided much needed BYE week relief. In addition to Gronk, Dawson Knox, Dalton Schultz, Jared Cook and promising rookie Pat Freiermuth will not be on fantasy teams this week. Howard has a good chance of finishing as a top 12 TE or better this week.
Zach Ertz TE ARI HOU START Similar to Howard, Ertz is an interesting option on his new team. He gets the leagues most favorable matchup to TEs. They've only held Indianapolis to fewer than 10 ppr points to the TE position. Now, Arizona has a lot of weapons and this will be Ertz's first week with the team so there is more risk with this recomendation.
Russell Gage WR ATL MIA START This will be Gage's first week back and it follows Kyle Pitt's breakout game in London in week 5. It's a good matchup for Gage and Matt Ryan seems to be producing again. With so many WRs and Flex options gone this week, Gage is a guy you could get off the waiver wire and put into your lineup to cover a spot if you need it.
Corey Davis WR NYJ NE SIT This isn't a good matchup for a team's number 1 weapon. Davis clearly is the best weapon for the Jets and NE is notorious for taking your top option away. Davis is in a tough spot this week.
