In this Start Em / Sit Em column each week, I'm looking to find some fringe players that you might consider starting each week and comment based on their matchups. Early on, I'll base my selection of candidates on where they were with respect to ADP. I'm not going to try to pad my stats by suggesting your start Patrick Mahomes each week, but instead trying to dig deep and find some nuggets for players to avoid or to go after. These are coin flip guys and if I can finish the year at better than 60% I'll consider it a success. My metrics to get the start decision are: QB 20 pts or more, RB, WR or TE need to score 12 pts or more for a successful endorsement. Defense/Special Teams should put in 8 points or more to get those picks right. I'll look at ~3-6 players on each Thursday night's game and ~ 6 players for the rest of the week to get you going.

Player Pos Team Opp Start / Sit Comment
Joe Burrow QB CIN PIT SIT Burrow has had an impressive rookie season, but the matchup with PIT is too much to trust him in week 10.
Teddy Bridgewater QB CAR TB SIT Bridgewater's coming off a big game last week vs KC, but Tampa should be re-trenching after being demolished by New Orleans. Look for Tampa to be focused in this matchup.
Jared Goff QB LAR SEA START Goff gets a great matchup this week. He has the weapons to take advantage of what should be a high scoring matchup.
Duke Johnson RB HOU CIN START With David Johnson ruled OUT Sunday, Duke should get the dominant marketshare of carries and give you an RB to trust week 10.
Chase Edmonds RB ARI BUF START Drake is expected back this week, but despite that I'd continue to roll with Chase in week 10 lineups
Wayne Gallman RB NYG PHI START Gallman should again lead this backfield. He's been impressive; however, PHI is decent against the RUN. Gallman's usage in the passing game should help his floor, however.
Jerry Jeudy WR DEN LV START Continue to roll with Jerry Jeudy he seems HOT and LV is a great matchup for WRs.
