Startem sitem 2016 week 8 SUNDAY

By Brad Kruse
Brad Kruse Kirk Cousins QB WAS CIN START
Cousins travels to London to play in week 8. He's expecting to have Jordan Reed back which should boost his opportunity to convert TDs this week. In a week with 6 teams on bye, Cousins look like an attractive option.

Jamison Crowder WR WAS CIN SIT
With Reed back, Crowder may again slide down the pecking order. Crowder is an upside player, but this may look like more of a down week for Crowder giving the Bengal's vulnerability to the TE.

Jeremy Hill RB CIN WAS START
Hill has been a tough player to rely on this year. He delivered last week and he gets a Washington defense this week that has been tough against wide receivers due to their acquisition of Josh Norman. But, they've been susceptible to the run. Give Hill a shot in week 8.

Devontae Booker RB DEN START
Booker draws the start this week after CJ Anderson was placed on IR. If you have him, put him in the lineup and enjoy the timing.

Donte Moncrief WR IND KC START
Moncrief returns to the lineup and expect a return to form in his first week back. Plug him back into your lineup for him to rekindle some majic with Andrew Luck.

Jacquizz Rodgers RB TB OAK START
Keep riding Jacquizz in fantasy until he slows down. That appears to be Tampa's strategy. An inviting matchup with Oakland at home should keep him fantasy relevant in week 8.

James White RB NE BUF START
Although Blount has been strong even in Brady's return and gets Buffalo's defense that let Jay Ajayi go over 200 yards, this still looks like the first half will be put in the hands of Brady. White's gotten his share of targets since Brady's return. I like his chances to collect a startable stat line this week.

Terrelle Pryor WR CLE NYJ START
Pryor was removed from the injury report Friday and faces a vulnerable Jet defense. With McCown under center, I suspect Pryor will return to form as a solid start playin week 8.

Tyrell Williams WR SD DEN SIT
SD gets Denver again. I suspect they'll try to use the same approach as week 6 where they feature the TE and mix in the running game. If that is true, the low volume that could be expected to the wide receivers combined with facing some of the best corner backs in the game makes Williams an advised SIT in week 8.

Travis Benjamin WR SD DEN SIT
SD gets Denver again. I suspect they'll try to use the same approach as week 6 where they feature the TE and mix in the running game. If that is true, the low volume that could be expected to the wide receivers combined with facing some of the best corner backs in the game makes Benjamin an advised SIT in week 8.

In this Start Em / Sit Em column each week, I'm looking to find some fringe players that you might consider starting each week and comment based on their matchups. Early on, I'll base my selection of candidates on where they were with respect to ADP. I'm not going to try to pad my stats by suggesting your start Drew Brees each week, but instead trying to dig deep and find some nuggets for players to avoid or to go after. These are coin flip guys and if I can finish the year at better than 60% I'll consider it a success. My metrics to get the start decision are: QB 20 pts or more, RB, WR or TE need to score 12 pts or more for a successful endorsement. Defense/Special Teams should put in 8 points or more to get those picks right. I'll look at ~3-6 players on each Thursday night's game and ~ 6 players for the rest of the week to get you going. This year I'm going to be looking at different ways to integrate daily fantasy pricing and Vegas odds into my decision making process. Good Luck this year!
