Unfortunately, injuries are part of Football and pretty much every week, players go down. This week was no different. At times, some of the injuries are minor, while at others it can impact a player for multiple weeks, and even for the entire season.

Fantasy owners who lost players that are expected to miss significant time, adjustments need to be made, and the waiver wire will be your best friend.

With that said, let’s take a look at some of this week’s injuries and the impact of the injury.

Cooper Kupp – Rams: Kupp was carted off the field on Sunday and returned to the game, but barely played after returning. On Monday he was diagnosed with an MCL sprain and could miss some time due to the injury. Typically, this type of injury forces players to miss multiple weeks. It is definitely a situation worth monitoring. Should he miss any time, Josh Reynolds could see a boost in snaps.

Calvin Ridley – Falcons: Ridley left Sunday’s game after sustaining an ankle injury and never returned. An MRI done on his ankle came back pretty clean, but did reveal a bone bruise. The Falcons have a bye week, following their upcoming game, so they could elect to rest their rookie receiver. That said, initial reports suggest that the Falcons are hopeful that he plays this upcoming week. Monitoring his status during this week’s practice is something I would recommend to do.

Quincy Enunwa – Jets: Enunwa exited Sunday’s game against the Colts and never returned after sustaining an ankle injury. On Monday, he was diagnosed with a high ankle sprain and is expected to miss at least three weeks. During his absence, Jermaine Kearse will likely move into the slot, while Terrell Pryor and Robby Anderson work on the outside.

Amari Cooper – Raiders: Cooper was concussed during Sunday’s game against the Seahawks. You know the drill, he will have to be cleared from the league’s concussion protocol before stepping back on the field. The Raiders are on a bye this week, so chances are he will be ready to roll in Week 8 against the Colts, which can be considered a solid matchup for Cooper.

Baker Mayfield – Browns: Mayfield suffered an ankle injury against the Chargers, but was able to play through it. His Week 7 status is not in jeopardy at this time, but it is a situation worth keeping a close eye on. The Browns face the Bucs this upcoming week, which is a dream matchup for any quarterback.

Josh Allen – Bills: Allen suffered an elbow injury that knocked him out of Sunday’s game. At this time, it is uncertain if he will play in Week 7, but initial reports suggest the injury is not serious. Nathan Peterman stepped in for the injured Allen and could draw the start should Allen miss the next game, or the team can turn to recently signed Derek Anderson as their signal caller. Either way, it is an ugly situation for this offense.
