Recapping the Injuries week 6 2016

By Armando Marsal
Armando Marsal Aside from the Ben Roethlisberger injury, we saw a pretty clean week from the injuries standpoint. As usual, I will review some of the injuries that occurred in the weekend and the implications they may have on your fantasy teams. Let’s take a look at some of the injuries that occurred this week.
Ben Roethlisberger – Steelers: Big Ben suffered a knee injury during Sunday’s loss to the Dolphins. Although he was able to return to the game, it was announced post game that he will undergo surgery Monday to repair a torn meniscus. Monday morning reports suggested that he will undergo a cleanup procedure. Either way, he will be sidelined for the foreseeable future. Landry Jones will get the start under center for the Steelers while Roethlisberger is sidelined. Once the surgery is completed, we should have a better idea regarding his timetable to return.

Eddie Royal – Bears: Royal suffered a toe injury that knocked him out of the game against the Jaguars. The fact that he was unable to return to a close game might suggest that this injury could linger into next week. For now, there are no reports regarding the severity of the injury, but we do know that he is also battling a calf injury along with this new toe injury.

Dwayne Allen- Colts: Allen left in the first quarter of Sunday night’s game against the Texans with an ankle injury and never returned. There were no updates on his injury post game. Jack Doyle stepped in and had a solid evening. If Allen is forced to miss any time due to the injury, Doyle could be in line for a heavier workload.

Phillip Dorsett – Colts: Dorsett exited Sunday night’s game against the Texans with a hamstring injury. He missed the majority of the second half and overtime. He was a non-factor catching only two of his five targets for 12 yards. Chester Rogers could get some run if Dorsett misses any time.

Davante Adams – Packers: Adams left Sunday’s game to be evaluated for a concussion. It is unclear whether he was diagnosed with a concussion or not, but it is something we should know early Monday morning. For now, we will monitor the No.3 wideout for the Packers and update you on his status as we hear it. Adams departure allowed for Ty Montgomery to step in and have a big day.

Notable players that briefly left game but were able to return
Carlos Hyde – 49ers: Shoulder injury
LeSean McCoy – Bills: Right Leg Injury
Odell Beckham Jr. – Giants: Hip Injury
