Quick hits week 10 2017

By Chad Stapley
Chad Stapley Tyrod Taylor has to be eager for Kelvin Benjamin to learn the offense and play as the Bills don’t have a WR of his nature on their roster. Taylor still ended up throwing for 285 yards and two TDs while also running for another TD.

Robby Anderson has caught a TD in three straight games making him a surefire FLEX option for any fantasy football team. He has quickly become one of Josh McCown’s favorite targets. McCown is having an amazing year himself throwing for 13 TDs already, proving to be a cable backup in fantasy football leagues or a starter in a double QB league.

The problem with the Falcons isn’t Matt Ryan, or even the defense. It is the offensive play calling, how in the world do you have two amazing RBs like Tevin Coleman & Devonta Freeman and you only run the ball a total of 16 times between the two?

Cam Newton proved that he didn’t need any WRs, he will just run the ball himself or dump/hand it to Christian McCaffrey. Newton ran the ball nine times for 86 yards and a TD. McCaffrey ran the ball 15 times for 66 yards and a TD to go with five receptions for 28 yards. Both players are the focal points of the Panthers offense so they are easy starters each week in fantasy football leagues across the board.

Even with Leonard Fournette coming back from injury the Jaguars have got to keep finding ways to get Chris Ivory the ball. He filled in as the starter this week and ran the ball 20 times for 70 yards and caught three passes for 34 yards. He is a nice compliment to Fournette in the backfield.

Jared Goff in 2016 compared to 2017 is two totally different animals. Goff had his best game of his career in an embarrassing beat down of the Giants. Goff threw for 311 yards and four TDs.

Robert Woods has been the addition to the Rams offense that they were sorely missing last year. This week he rewarded them by catching four passes for 70 yards and two TDs. He is a FLEX starter at all times and has outside WR2 potential in some fantasy leagues.

Outside of Evan Engram & Orleans Darkwa the Giants have no one on their team worth having on your fantasy football roster. Engram has been a nice surprise at TE and continues to make big plays for the Giants, this week he caught four passes for 70 yards and a TD. Darkwa has only started four games and has 345 rushing yards and a TD. He is more of a FLEX option at this point.

Carson Wentz is easily the best QB in the NFL right now both in terms of the actual game and fantasy football production. This week he threw for another four TDs as the Eagles easily beat the Broncos.

Jay Ajayi is going to be a nice addition for the Eagles, as in his first week there he already ran the ball eight times for 77 yards and a TD. Once he understands the entire playbook the Eagles will be even scarier on offense.

Has Corey Clement passed LeGarrette Blount on the RB depth chart? The last two games Clement has had 22 carries for 105 yards and two TDs, he might be a nice addition to keep on your bench for a few weeks to see if the trend continues.

Jacoby Brissett might not be the best QB in the NFL but he seems like he can be turned into a winner given the right offensive pieces to surround him. Over the last two weeks he has thrown for 541 yards with four TDs and one INT. He is a nice QB2 option or a backup because he has big play potential.

It is the Mark Ingram & Alvin Kamara show in New Orleans and we are just here to watch and enjoy. These two RBs are playing better than any duo in the NFL. This week in a thrashing of the Bucs they combined to run the ball 26 times for 145 yards and one TD to go with seven receptions for 86 yards and a TD. They are both fantasy football RB1 and should be started each week.

Rob Kelley looks like he is going to be getting all the goal line carries for Washington, he is a nice FLEX option as he scored two TDs this week.

Russell Wilson is doing everything he can to try and get the Seahawks wins. In a narrow defeat this week he threw for 297 yards and two TDs to go with his 77 rushing yards, Seattle needs offensive line help and more playmakers.

The Cardinals best shot at the playoffs is jumping on the back of Adrian Peterson. Peterson had a monster game running the ball 37 times for 159 yards. The Cardinals are using a backup QB and don’t have much talent at the WR position so big games from AP are going to be needed. His fantasy value has never been higher.

If you have anyone on your roster from the 49ers not named Carlos Hyde, you should drop them immediately. The 49ers have no consistent playmakers and are running the offense with a rookie QB. Hyde is having a great year given the circumstances, this week he ran the ball 12 times for 41 yards and caught nine passes for 84 yards.

As long as Ezekiel Elliott isn’t suspended the Cowboys offense will look dangerous, as he makes everyone around him better. Zeke ran the ball 27 times for 93 yards and a TD.

Dak Prescott continues to impress in big games, this week against Kansas City he threw for 249 yards and two TDs to go with his rushing TD, he is a high scoring fantasy football player and should be started each week.

The Dolphins lost, but Jay Cutler had his best game of the season throwing for 311 yards and three TDs. If Cutler can continue playing close to that level the Dolphins can compete for a playoff spot and Cutler can be considered a starter for fantasy football.

Damien Williams & Kenyan Drake are the new co-starters at RB for the Dolphins and neither disappointed in week one of having the job. Williams ran the ball seven times for 14 yards and he caught six passes for 47 yards and a TD. Drake ran the ball nine times for 69 yards and caught six passes for 35 yards. They both are worth starting at the FLEX position.

Matthew Stafford has been on a tear this season. This week he threw for 361 and two TDs in a win over the Packers. Having WRs like Golden Tate & Marvin Jones Jr makes his life a lot easier. The duo caught 14 passes for 220 yards and two TDs. Both of them have big play ability and can score anytime they have the ball in their hands.
