Fantasy Thoughts 2016 Week 10

By Chad Stapley
Chad Stapley Matt Ryan is making his fantasy football owners quite happy each week. In week nine he threw for 344 yards and four TDs.

Austin Hooper could be a sneaky good addition to your fantasy football team if you are playing in a 16 man league. Hooper is a rookie who is getting his opportunity to start due to injuries at the position for the Falcons and he hauled in three passes and a TD in his first action.

Taylor Gabriel is looking like a playmaker for the Falcons. He ran the ball twice for 24 yards and a TD & he caught five passes for 52 yards. He could be a nice FLEX option if you have a lot of players that have a common BYE week.

Mike Evans is a monster and he looks nearly unstoppable. Evans had a monster performance against the Falcons by grabbing 11 catches for 150 yards and two TDs. One of his TDs was most likely the catch of the year candidate.

Two young guys that keep popping up on the stat sheet for the Bucs are Adam Humphries & Cameron Brate. Humphries is an undrafted WR out of Clemson who caught five passes for 46 yards and his first TD of his young NFL career. He keeps getting better each week. Brate is a TE who was also undrafted out of Harvard and he is becoming one of Winston’s Go-To guys. Brate caught a TD this weekend as well. They both are great bench options for your fantasy football team.

Eli Rogers consistently made plays to keep the Steelers in the game this weekend. Rogers is a rookie WR who had a lot of hype coming into the season but has really had any good games until now. Rogers caught six passes for 103 yards, he is a player that you should monitor if he continues to perform well as he could be a nice FLEX option on your fantasy football team.

Joe Flacco loves to throw the ball deep and Mike Wallace just so happens to be the perfect deep route WR for him to throw to. This week the pair hooked up for a 95 yard TD pass that ended up being the difference maker in the game. Wallace has been a nice surprise for the Ravens, he ended up with 124 yards receiving this weekend. He is a nice FLEX option of WR3 for heavy WR leagues.

In Dak Prescott the Dallas Cowboys should trust as he has them sitting at 7-1 and off to one of their hottest starts in recent memory. The rookie threw three TDs and ran for another 20 yards. He has easily put himself in the QB1 category for any fantasy football team and should be started every week.

Ditto for the other rookie on the Cowboys roster, Ezekiel Elliott. The rookie sensation at RB ran the ball 18 times for 92 yards and two TDs. Both of these guys are sure fire fantasy football starters for any team.

Cole Beasley has quietly made himself into one of the hotter FLEX options in fantasy football. He and Prescott clicked immediately and Beasley is having a career year because of it. This week he hauled in six passes for 56 yards and a TD.

Outside of Terrell Pryor Sr. there is not one Browns player that he is worthy of being a fantasy football start unless your roster is in dire need during a BYE week.

Chris Ivory kept the Jags in the game at the same time as losing the game for them. Ivory had his best game of the season running the ball 18 times for 107 yards but he also lost a fumble on the one yard line of Kansas City which stopped them from scoring the go ahead TD in the fourth quarter.

Matt Forte is on a hot tear as of lately and he should be a starter on anyone’s fantasy football team until he stops performing so well. This week he caught a pass and he ran the ball 12 times for 92 yards and a TD.

Jay Ajayi didn’t break the 200 yard rushing mark again but he did run the ball 24 times for 111 yards and a TD to go with his three receptions for 19 yards. He is a complete package at RB and should be started each week on your fantasy football team.

Matthew Stafford is not going to let Detroit go down without a fight. He is a huge reason why they sit at 5-4 overall. Stafford threw for 219 yards and two TDs in an OT win over the Vikings. He is easily a top five QB in fantasy football and continues to destroy all of the competition.

The Lions need to give Theo Riddick the ball more often as he is a playmaker. Riddick ran the ball 14 times for 70 yards and he caught a pass in the win over the Vikings.

Darren Sproles is going to be a huge fantasy football point scorer now that he has finally been appointed the lead RB. Sproles has always been a playmaker and he should flourish in the role of getting more touches.

Eli Manning just keeps throwing TD passes, he is a true gun slinger as a QB. This week he threw four TD passes and two INTs. He is a QB2 with the upside of being able to completely light up the scoreboard on certain weeks.

Paul Perkins is a rookie RB that finally got some extended playing time this week. The rookie ran the ball 11 times for 32 yards and he caught three passes for 15 yards. He is not worthy of starting on your fantasy football team just yet (unless you are in a 16 person league) but he is absolutely worth having on your bench.

Sterling Shepard is another rookie on the Giants roster that is absolutely flourishing in his first NFL season. Shepard caught three passes for 50 yards and a TD.

Michael Thomas is slowing becoming the best rookie WR in this draft class. The standout WR caught five passes for 73 yards and two TDs this week. He is quickly becoming Drew Brees Go-To guy.

Brees on the other hand is having a monster season and he added another three TD passes to his resume. Brees has thrown 21 TDs to just five INTs this season. Start him on your fantasy football each week if you are lucky enough to have him on your roster.

The Mark Ingram & Tim Hightower duo at RB seems to working just fine for the Saints. The duo ran the ball 38 times for 245 yards and each ran for a TD. At this point both RBs are a viable option to start on your fantasy football team.

Rishard Matthews is quietly and quickly becoming Marcus Mariota’s favorite WR in the Red-Zone. This week Matthews caught six passes for 63 yards and two TDs. He is a dark horse to start at WR or FLEX.

Tyrell Williams is a young Chargers WR to watch as the season progresses and Phillip Rivers continues to run out of options. Williams hauled in six passes for 65 yards and a TD.

Latavius Murray is a monster at RB and the Raiders missed him while he was injured. This week he ran all over the talented Broncos defense for the likes of 20 rushes for 114 yards and three TDs.
