Startem sitem 2016 week 8 Thursday

Marqise Lee WR JAC TEN START
Tennesse is a plus matchup to opposing WRs and Lee has been very involved. He's played in 70% or more of the snaps in the last three games and is averaging over 7 targets per game in the last 5 games

Allen Hurns WR JAC TEN START
Hurns has been a frustrating play this year. His target totals have ranged from 4 to 11. Julius Thomas did not practice on Tuesday and if he's limited or out, that should benefit Hurns. Hurns's deep passing game could yield starting numbers on few targets; here's to hoping Blake Bortles re-discovers last year's magic

Marcus Mariota QB TEN JAC SIT
This is a tough bye week with 6 teams off. Mariota has been playable three straight weeks. Jalen Ramsey shut down Amari Cooper last week and will probably lock down whichever receivers he's matched up on. This will limit Mariota's margin of error. He'll need his legs to be startable this week.

Blake Bortles QB JAC TEN SIT
Bortles really needs a breakout game. He didn't get it last week. The Tennesse secondary is inviting and his 4th quarter fantasy points can sometimes rescue disaster performances. However, Tennessee ball control offense could shorten this game causing fewer opportunities for Bortles to deliver.

In this Start Em / Sit Em column each week, I'm looking to find some fringe players that you might consider starting each week and comment based on their matchups. Early on, I'll base my selection of candidates on where they were with respect to ADP. I'm not going to try to pad my stats by suggesting your start Drew Brees each week, but instead trying to dig deep and find some nuggets for players to avoid or to go after. These are coin flip guys and if I can finish the year at better than 60% I'll consider it a success. My metrics to get the start decision are: QB 20 pts or more, RB, WR or TE need to score 12 pts or more for a successful endorsement. Defense/Special Teams should put in 8 points or more to get those picks right. I'll look at ~3-6 players on each Thursday night's game and ~ 6 players for the rest of the week to get you going. This year I'm going to be looking at different ways to integrate daily fantasy pricing and Vegas odds into my decision making process. Good Luck this year!
