(11/14 4:15 PM PT)
The Facts:
Wednesday's intial NFL Injury/Practice Report has been posted to our FlashUpdate site. Click HERE to access. Find out complete practice info directly from the league office.
Diehards Line:
Under new NFL rules, teams are only required to list if a player practiced or not until Friday of a normal game week. Then they must reveal the player's status for the game (out, doubtful, questionable, or probable). We will have a Thursday practice update before posting the final release Friday afternoon.

(11/14 2:53 PM PT)
The Facts:
Culpepper moved back into the starting QB role for the Raiders just in time to face one of his former teams, the Vikings.
Diehards Line:
With Josh McCown banged up and struggling the past two weeks, HC Lane Kiffin gave the job back to Culpepper. In five games this season, Culpepper has completed 56 percent of his passes for 817 yards, four touchdowns and four interceptions. ... It might be worth noting that Kiffen didn't name a likely backup.

class="headline" onClick="expanddiv('tr4')" style="cursor:hand; cursor:pointer" onmouseover="window.status=' ';return true">Marshawn Lynch Likely Out; Not An Average Sprain?
(11/14 12:39 PM PT)
The Facts:
Lynch was not able to practice Wednesday due to the sprained ankle he suffered in the win over Miami on Sunday. HC Dick Jauron said he was "not optimistic" Lynch would play vs. the Patriots.
Diehards Line:
Jauron said Lynch's injury is more significant than an "average" ankle sprain, and he could be out for multiple weeks. The Bills are expected to use both rookie Dwayne Wright and veteran Anthony Thomas in Lynch's place.

class="headline" onClick="expanddiv('tr5')" style="cursor:hand; cursor:pointer" onmouseover="window.status=' ';return true">Report: Rex Grossman Will Start For Bears
(11/14 12:24 PM PT)
The Facts:
Grossman will start at quarterback for the Bears against Seattle, a team source confirmed Wednesday. According to Tribune staffer Vaughn McClure, Grossman took snaps with the starting offense during Wednesday's walk through. The Bears canceled their quarterback press conference, but the decision has already been made.
Diehards Line:
Grossman came off the bench to spark the Bears' 17-6 win over the Raiders on Sunday after Brian Griese went down with a left shoulder injury. Griese suffered a sprain; his status is unknown. He was, however, one of a handful of Bears held out of practice Wednesday, no surprise considering Grossman will start on Sunday and Griese's shoulder is banged up.

class="headline" onClick="expanddiv('tr6')" style="cursor:hand; cursor:pointer" onmouseover="window.status=' ';return true">Andrews Confirms Adrian Peterson Week-To-Week
(11/14 9:58 AM PT)
The Facts:
Dr. James Andrews, the world's foremost authority on sports injuries, said today in a statement provided to the Vikings that Peterson's right knee injury should be evaluated on a "week-to-week basis." Andrews' evaluation jibes with the Vikings' original position that Peterson will recover in time to play again this season.
Diehards Line:
HC Brad Childress and athletic trainer Eric Sugarman both said Monday that it was possible Peterson could return in time for the Nov. 25 game against the New York Giants. The Vikings provided Andrews' independent assessment, based on the MRI results, one day after a Florida doctor -- who had neither examined Peterson nor viewed his medical records -- asserted in a published report that Peterson shouldn't play again this season.

(11/14 9:56 AM PT)
The Facts:
Lynch was not participating in Wednesday's practice.
Diehards Line:
Lynch, who suffered a sprained ankle in Sunday's win over the Dolphins, has said he'll play this week. Still, owners will want to keep a close eye on his status as the week progresses. It's safe to assume he'll need to practice at some point in order to play.

class="headline" onClick="expanddiv('tr8')" style="cursor:hand; cursor:pointer" onmouseover="window.status=' ';return true">Report: Ricky Williams To Be Reinstated
(11/14 8:58 AM PT)
The Facts:
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has decided to reinstate Williams after a suspension that lasted 18 months because of Williams' violation of the league's substance abuse policy, sources told ESPN.
Diehards Line:
According to ESPN's Chris Mortensen, the Dolphins have been notified of the commissioner's decision. It is unknown if the team will welcome him back but it is expected they will have a two-week roster exemption to make that decision.

class="headline" onClick="expanddiv('tr9')" style="cursor:hand; cursor:pointer" onmouseover="window.status=' ';return true">Report: John Beck To Start For Dolphins
(11/14 8:57 AM PT)
The Facts:
Beck will make his NFL debut when he starts Sunday at Philadelphia, replacing Cleo Lemon with the first team. HC Cam Cameron told the quarterbacks of the change Wednesday, a person familiar with the conversation told the AP.
Diehards Line:
The Miami Herald is also reporting this story. ... Beck, a second-round draft pick from BYU, will become the 12th quarterback to start for the Dolphins since Dan Marino retired following the 1999 season. He'll be the third starter at QB this season for winless Miami, following Trent Green and Lemon.

class="headline" onClick="expanddiv('tr10')" style="cursor:hand; cursor:pointer" onmouseover="window.status=' ';return true">Broncos To Go With Hotter Hand At RB Vs. Titans
(11/14 2:38 AM PT)
The Facts:
For the game Monday against Tennessee, the Broncos figure to put Travis Henry and Selvin Young in competition for carries. According to Post staffer Mike Klis, the hot back would get 15 to 18 carries; the other back would get eight to 10 carries.
Diehards Line:
Henry would bring toughness between the tackles. Young would bring not only speed, but speed off the jump. The Broncos believe it could be a dream tailback duo no one could stop -- other than NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, who is expected to suspend Henry shortly after Monday night's game.
