Before practice on Thursday, Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez said that he was feeling good after his return to action in Week 6.
As Profootballtalk.com's Josh Alper pointed out, perhaps part of the reason he was feeling good was that he knew he wouldn’t have to go through a tiring practice on Thursday.
Hernandez did not participate in the Patriots workout after taking part in a limited practice on Wednesday.
Alper went on to explain that doesn’t mean he’s had any setback with his ankle, though. Hernandez didn’t practice last Friday before playing against the Seahawks, which indicates the team will be easing him back to a full workload. At this point, there’s no sign that his chances of playing against the Jets have taken a hit today.
Running back Brandon Bolden also missed practice.
Tight end Rob Gronkowski and wide receiver Wes Welker as they were on Wednesday.
Stay tuned. ... I'll continue to follow up with more certainly coming after tomorrow's practice.
