Following up on an item in this week's Team Notes. ... The Saints increased their preparation for Sunday's game at NFC South rival Tampa Bay without tight end Jimmy Graham, who sprained his right ankle in the Saints' 31-24 victory against San Diego on Oct. 7.
Graham missed Wednesday's practice.
While Profootballtalk.com's Mike Florio has reported the team expects Graham to play this week, ESPN insider Adam Schefter suggested otherwise on Wednesday. Schefter advised SportsCenter viewers the Saints are "uncertain" whether Graham will be active against the Bucs.
I'll obviously be following this one closely so stay tuned. ...
Meanwhile, the news was better for receiver Lance Moore (hamstring) and running back Travaris Cadet (shoulder), both of whom practiced fully on Wednesday.
Also, the Saints got a lift from linebacker Jonathan Vilma, who returned to practice for the first time since last season. Vilma, who spent the first six week of the season on the physically-unable-to-perform list after undergoing offseason knee surgery, was eligible to practice for the first time today.
He could play on Sunday if the team decides to bring him up to the active roster.
