Following up on an item in this week's Team Notes. ... Calvin Johnson was kept out of Wednesday's practice, the team announced. Megatron missed the session with a foot injury, but head coach Jim Schwartz wouldn't say much more.
"Injury report. You know me," Schwartz told the team's official site.
Johnson stood along the sidelines for the first 30 minutes media members were allowed to watch. He foot was not wrapped, and MLive.com's Anwar Richardson felt Johnson was likely held out as a precaution.
Others agreed.
"Let's put it this way. I didn't notice anything," DetroitLions.com staffer Tim Twentyman tweeted. "Just thought it was a day of rest. He'll be fine."
Johnson finished Detroit's first game of the season against St. Louis without any issues. He had six receptions for 111 yards in Detroit's 27-23 victory.
At this point in the week there's no reason to believe Megatron won't start and play as usual against the 49ers come Sunday night.
