The Facts: Jurevicius might not be ready for the start of the regular season, a source close to the situation said today. Originally, the Browns said they thought Jurevicius would be back in time for the OTAs, which began in mid-May. But during OTAs, HC Romeo Crennel said the goal was to "try to get Jurevicius to training camp." Now, the season opener Sept. 7 against Dallas is in question.
Diehards Line:Jurevicius is not participating in mini-camp and it's not yet known what he'll be able to do in training camp. This after the veteran receiver underwent arthroscopic surgery in January and suffered a staph infection about two weeks later while on a trip on the west coast. He had the staph surgically removed once or twice and then underwent another more recent procedure. The nature and timing of the most recent surgery is not yet known. Jurevicius was projected to be the third receiver behind Braylon Edwards and Donte' Stallworth. But the Browns might have to find another No. 3 at least for the early going. They've been using Joshua Cribbs more on offense and have liked what they've seen from Travis Wilson.
