The Facts: Even though he was an undrafted free agent last season and has never rushed for 1,000 yards, Young's goal is to become only the sixth 2,000-yard rusher. "People call me crazy," Young said. "I got a lot of laughs, too, but I really think it's in me. And it seems like [the Broncos] want to do a lot more things with me."
Diehards Line:Well. ... The Broncos plan to use Young in more ways this season, but he won't necessarily get the ball more. HC Mike Shanahan said earlier this off-season that he sees Young as 10-to-15-touches-a-game back. "Selvin played very well when he played," the coach explained. "He will wear down. He's not a big guy." Nonetheless, Young believes he can beat out Travis Henry for the starting job; he believes, too, that he can be an every-down back, holding up under the strain of 20, 25 or even occasionally 30 touches a game. ... Don't bet your team's success on it.
