The Facts: The Bengals on Monday waived Wilson, a second-year NFL player from West Virginia. Wilson played in one game last season, the Dec. 30 season finale at Miami, after signing as a free agent on Dec. 26.
Diehards Line:Although there's no real reason to believe it had anything to do with his release, Wilson was arrested last June 17 in Huntington, W.Va., and charged with disorderly conduct for failing to disperse after a weekend wedding party. It marked the second time in the past five days the Bengals released a player who had been arrested. The Bengals recently released receiver Chris Henry, another former West Virginia star, after he was arrested last week on an assault charge, his fifth arrest while he was with the team.
