The Facts: Ferguson, an unrestricted free agent, has agreed to terms on a one-year contract with the Vikings that is worth approximately $1 million plus a possible $500,000 to $600,000 in incentives.
Diehards Line:Ferguson was the team's second-leading receiver last season with 32 catches but attracted little interest on the free-agent market. Ferguson's agent, Brian Overstreet, told the Minneapolis Star-Tribune that Chicago, Pittsburgh and "a couple other" teams also expressed interest in the veteran but that his client did not make any visits. Ferguson returns to a receiving corps that has added free agent Bernard Berrian and includes Bobby Wade, Sidney Rice and Aundrae Allison in its top five.
