The Facts: Asiata has agreed to terms on a one-year deal with Detroit, a source said Friday.
Diehards Line:Asiata played with the Vikings from 2012-16 before not being brought back as a free agent. He attended the Lions rookie minicamp two weeks ago, and was said to have done well. Asiata rushed for 1,259 yards and caught 101 passes for 722 yards in his five Minnesota seasons. He scored three touchdowns in a game on three occasions. He'll join a backfield led by Ameer Abdullah and Theo Riddick with Dwayne Washington and Zach Zenner also in the mix.
