The Facts: Asked about his recovery from the knee sprain he suffered in Week 16 last season, Hyde said, "I'm back to running. I can cut, just not all the way I like to run, but I'm making improvement."
Diehards Line:
Hyde added he'll test the knee by running today. ... Hyde came up 12 yards shy of his first 1,000-yard season thanks to that injury -- which obviously wasn't his first. Hyde has appeared in 34 of a possible 48 games over three seasons, and he missed nine games in 2015 because of a foot fracture. That said, Devonta Freeman and Tevin Coleman flourished in the Falcons’ backfield for new 49ers HC Kyle Shanahan. Expect Hyde to see as heavy usage as he can handle. ... We'll be watching for more as OTAs continue.
