The Facts: HC Dan Quinn gave an injury update on Jones when meeting with reporters at the owners' meeting in Arizona last Wednesday. "Julio is doing good," Quinn said.
Diehards Line:
Jones underwent minor surgery to remove a bunion on his foot the first week of March. Quinn further explained: “He had surgery on his foot. That part is coming along really well, the strengthening of his toe and foot. Like most surgeries, the first part is the healing and then comes the strengthening. He’s starting to get into the strengthening phase.” Jones also told the Journal-Constitution last week that his recovery from foot surgery was progressing. Expect him to be ready for training camp -- even if the Falcons don't rush him back to a full workload before the season opener.
