The Facts: Cam Newton suffered a torn rotator cuff on his throwing arm and will undergo surgery.
Diehards Line:Newton is set to have the surgery on March 30th. He suffered the injury in Week 14 against the Chargers, but was able to play through it. After the season ended, Newton attempted rest and therapy, but when he began the throwing stage of the therapy, he felt pain, so surgery was the result. He is expected to be ready for training camp barring any setbacks, but this is definitely a situation worth keeping a close eye on. We will update you on his status as we hear it.
