The Facts: Based off multiple people inside league, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports it would be a major upset if Dallas is able to trade Romo. Cowboys will have to release him.
Diehards Line:
Which is no real surprise. Both the teams reportedly most interested in Romo, the Broncos and Texans, have made it clear they aren't interested in a trade. And while it's impossible to rule out a change of heart, it does appear both teams are content to wait with the most recent reporting indicating the Broncos aren't even a lock to pursue Romo if released. The Texans, meanwhile, cleared up considerable cap room ($10 million) by trading away QB Brock Osweiler. So they're in position to move in the situation arises.
