Diehards Line:Although Chicago is said to be actively working to trade him, CBSSports.com's Jason La Canfora advised readers the Bears know they face monumental odds in finding a team willing to give them an asset in return for assuming Cutler’s ridiculous contract. La Canfora added Chicago would take a 2019 seventh-round pick for him. Given his current contract status, that might be about as much as they can expect. Cutler, 33, is due to earn $15 million next season, and has four years and a total of $72 million remaining on his current deal. Assuming he becomes a free agent, La Canfora included the Jets (who other reports claim are not interested), the Bills (assuming they don't keep Tyrod Taylor), the Texans and the 49ers among others (including Miami and Jacksonville, neither of whom are looking for a starter). Meanwhile, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport notes this morning that following shoulder surgery, Cutler has been rehabbing and is expected to pass a physical by March. ... We'll be watching for more.
