The Facts: GM Kevin Colbert said he and the rest of the organization are planning on Roethlisberger returning next season, despite the two-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback saying he will take time to evaluate if he wants to keep playing.

But Colbert conceded it's time to start thinking beyond Big Ben. “We’d like to have Landry [Jones] stay in the mix,” the GM said. “Will we add a guy? Absolutely. When? It’s hard to say. Sooner or later we will have to address that.” Colbert went on to note organizations that have been successful with quarterback transitions have already had the replacement on the roster, citing the San Francisco 49ers with Joe Montana and Steve Young and the Green Bay Packers with Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers. “You should have a successful quarterback plan in place,” Colbert said.
