The Facts: The Buccaneers won't have Rodgers in the lineup against the Falcons on Thursday night. Rodgers was ruled out with the release of the Buccaneers' official injury report for the NFC South matchup.
Diehards Line:
Rodgers injured his foot in last Sunday’s loss to the Raiders and there was enough concern about his condition that the Bucs moved quickly to bring Mike James back into the organization. Rodgers will join Doug Martin on the sideline as Martin misses a sixth straight game with a hamstring injury. That leaves James, Antone Smith and Peyton Barber as running options on Thursday with Smith an early favorite to play the lead role. DT Clinton McDonald also has a hamstring injury and will miss his fourth straight game. Wide receiver Russell Shepherd is doubtful with a hip injury and defensive lineman Will Gholston is listed as questionable.
