The Facts: Moore was part of a tryout session for veterans with the Chargers earlier this week, but San Diego opted to sign James Jones while they wait for word on how long Stevie Richards will be out of the lineup with a torn meniscus. Moore didn't have to wait long to find a job with another team, but he did have to go to the other side of the country. PFT has learned, via a league source, that Moore will sign with the Falcons.
Diehards Line:
The Falcons have Julio Jones and they signed Mohamed Sanu as a free agent this offseason, but Justin Hardy is the only other receiver on the depth chart who played a role of any size in the offense last season. Moore caught 29 passes for 337 yards and four touchdowns in 14 games with the Lions last season. As PFT reminded readers, Moore is the second veteran free agent to join the Falcons this week. They added outside linebacker Dwight Freeney on the defensive side of the ball as they round out their roster ahead of the start of the preseason schedule.
