The Facts: Following up on the previous item. ... HC Pete Carroll said on Monday that Prosise has a Grade 1 hamstring strain and will miss at least the next 7-10 days while he recovers.
Diehards Line:
The Seahawks opened training camp with running back Thomas Rawls on the physically unable to perform list as he continues to recover from the broken ankle that ended his 2015 season. That left Christine Michael and three rookies drafted in April to vie for time at tailback in Rawls’ absence, but that group will be a little smaller for the next couple of weeks. Prosise was a third-round pick in April, which was the highest of the three backs that Seattle brought into the fold. Michael, fifth-rounder Alex Collins and seventh-rounder Zac Brooks will likely get more looks while Prosise is sidelined. Carroll also said that the team will reevaluate Rawls’ status and determine if he’s ready to be activated from the PUP list. If so, as PFT suggests, Prosise’s inactivity could hurt his chances of earning early playing time.
