The Facts: Ebron is expected to be a big part of Detroit's plans on offense this season. He was a top 15 tight end last season in terms of yards (537) and touchdowns (5), and should see a huge uptick in the number of balls thrown his way this year. He was targeted 70 times last year and made 47 receptions. "He's a guy that wants to put the work in," QB Matthew Stafford said. "I'm expecting a lot of good things from him. I'm excited for the year."
Diehards Line:
All this according to DetroitLions.com's Tim Twentyman, who went on to remind readers that Ebron entered the NFL in 2014 with big plans to conquer the NFL as the No. 10 overall pick in the NFL Draft. He learned rather quickly things don't always come as easy or as swiftly as he might of thought. He caught just 25 passes for 248 yards in 13 games as a rookie. But last season those numbers increased dramatically. He caught 47 passes for 537 yards and scored five times in 14 games. Now in year three, Ebron is in position to build on that. Assuming the targets come -- and they should -- Ebron has considerable upside.
