The Facts: HC Andy Reid sounded a note of caution with Charles, who tore his ACL last October. Charles practiced two days this week, the only time he's worked on the field with his teammates during the offseason. Charles was given the day off on Thursday but Reid said that was precautionary and not because of any setbacks. "We'll have to see with Jamaal," Reid said. "You don't want to take any steps back. He had two good days here and then we'll just see how he does at camp. We're optimistic about the two days. But let's not rush him. We know what he's all about. Let's get him back to where he feels good and whatever timetable that is or how much he practices there, we'll see day by day."
Diehards Line:
Appearing with the FootballDiehards on SiriusXM Fantasy Sports Radio, ChiefsDigest.com's Herbie Teope told listeners that Charles did indeed appear to be healthy during his time on the practice field this past week. . Teope also expects Charles to be ready to hit the ground running come Week 1. If that's the case, Teope believes Charles will continue to play the same featured role fantasy owners have come to count in recent years. We'll follow up as needed, but nobody should expect Charles to see heavy action until September.
