The Facts: HC Pete Carroll says the Seahawks "absolutely" expect Rawls to be back from last year's season-ending ankle injury in time to play in the season opener Sept. 11 against Miami.
Diehards Line:
The coach’s proclamation Thursday at the close of Seattle’s minicamp and last practice before training camp begins late next month was Carroll’s most definitive statement yet on the availability of his injured players for the entire 2016 season. Rawls, Seattle’s replacement for retired Marshawn Lynch as its new lead back, broke his ankle and tore ligaments in a game at Baltimore in early December. The team invested heavily in running backs in April's draft and Rawls will need to get back to previous form in short order once he's on the field. Fantasy owners shouldn't bank on that happening until they see actual evidence of that in advance o of the season.
