The Facts: In the past, Reed has faced plenty of questions about his durability. The issue has resurfaced for the man who not long ago signed a rich, multi-year contract extension. Via John Keim of ESPN.co, Reed isn't practicing at the mandatory minicamp due to an ankle injury.
Diehards Line:
HC Jay Gruden said last week that Reed missed an OTA day for rest, but an unnamed source told Keim that the ankle injury was responsible for the absence. Reed, who has missed 14 games in three seasons, caught 87 passes in 14 games a year ago, for 952 yards and 11 touchdowns. As PFT suggests, there’s no reason to currently think the ankle problem would have caused him to miss a regular-season practice or a game but we'll continue to watch for more.
