The Facts: OC Todd Haley is looking forward to getting running back Le'Veon Bell back on the field after a knee injury last November put an end to his 2015 season. But he also plans on utilizing Williams, who carried the load for the ground game in Bell's absence. "I think the difference between last year and this year is that we got a big body of work from DeAngelo last year," said Haley. "Knowing a lot more about him will maybe help give Le'Veon more rest when he needs it, although knowing Le'Veon he never wants to come off. But I think the interesting thing about the scenario is that we've seen DeAngelo for a year in our offense and doing things the way we do them, so it's an exciting thing to look forward to."
Diehards Line:
When it comes to handcuffs, go ahead and pencil Williams as the first on off the board. In case you missed it, Williams delivered above and beyond all expectations -- first during Bell's two game suspension, then again after Bell was lost to a serious knee injury. How good was Williams? In his first start as a Steeler, he ran for 127 yards on 21 carries and totaled 132 scrimmage yards against the Patriots. The following week against San Francisco, Williams tied a Steelers' single-game record for rushing touchdowns (3), the first to do so since Willie Parker in 2008. Taking over for Bell again in November, Williams continued his Bell-like production with a series of games similar to those first two. Given that, anybody drafting Bell in the first round of their fantasy drafts this year will want to reach a bit to secure Williams' services. The premium you'll pay will be worth the insurance and peace of mind Williams provides.
