The Facts: Barth became expendable in Tampa Bay when the Buccaneers drafted a kicker in the second round. But he's not going far. Per Adam Schefter of ESPN, the veteran kicker is heading to New Orleans now to sign with the Saints.
Diehards Line:Barth has been a solid kicker, but has been rooted aside for rookies by the Bucs on multiple occasions, but took the high road on his way out the door after the Bucs moved up to take Roberto Aguayo. The Saints cycle through kickers pretty regularly themselves, and just released Josh Scobee. They do have Kai Forbath on the roster as well, but Barth gives them another proven commodity to create a good competition.
