The Facts: Hopkins has been very productive despite the lack of a consistent QB and a strong receiving corps to work alongside him. The Texans have worked to remedy both of those issues this offseason. Brock Osweiler is the new QB and Houston spent two of its first three draft picks on WRs. After the Texans added first-round pick Will Fuller and third-round pick Braxton Miller, Hopkins shared his excitement on Twitter. "Ain't no more double teams baby!" Hopkins wrote.
Diehards Line:Fuller and Miller both have the speed to stretch defenses and open up other parts of the field for Hopkins. But Fuller needs to be more consistent catching the ball and Miller is still new to the position. Meanwhile, Osweiler is still a bit of an unproven commodity. Still, there's plenty or reason for Hopkins' optimism. Remember, he managed to pull 111 passes for 1,521 yards and 11 touchdowns despite the shortfalls surrounding him last season. The addition of Lamar Miller could help as well. Bottom line? Unproven or not, the newcomers are a positive. Enough so to keep Hopkins' on their first-round radar come draft time.
