The Facts: Cumberland will sign with the Chargers. Cumberland confirmed his destination via his private Instagram account Monday night.
Diehards Line:
ESPN’s Adam Caplan reported that it’s a one-year deal for Cumberland, who was released by the Jets last month after six seasons. Cumberland played in 31 games over the last two seasons and started six games last season. For his career, Cumberland has 86 catches for 1,119 yards and 10 touchdowns. As PFT's Zac Jackson suggests, the Chargers will probably still draft a tight end, but for now they needed a replacement for Ladarius Green, who signed with the Steelers.
