The Facts: In March 2012, Brandon Marshall allegedly struck a woman in the face at a Chelsea nightclub. More than four years later, the case is heading to trial. Via Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, Marshall is due in court for a trial on April 5 through 7. It's a civil trial, arising from a lawsuit filed against Marshall.
Diehards Line:
According to PFT's Mike Florio, Marshall potentially faces legue-imposed discipline if found responsible. Since the incident happened before the dramatic changes to the Personal Conduct Policy in 2014, he would not be facing the enhanced penalties for acts of violence. However, Marshall’s historycould count against him. In 2008, Marshall was suspended three games for violating the Personal Conduct Policy. The discipline was later reduced to one game. That said, Marshall has become a model citizen in recent years, doing great work on behalf of mental health awareness. ... Nothing imminent here, but it's worth getting on the radar.
