The Facts: The team announced that Housler has signed a one-year deal to remain with the team.
Diehards Line:
There’s some uncertainty about what the tight end position will look like for the Bears this season with word of their willingness to trade Martellus Bennett while Zach Miller is a free agent who reportedly met with the Rams on Sunday. But Housler, who joined the Bears in December after Bennett was placed on injured reserve due to injured ribs, is back. He played four games and caught three passes for 27 yards. Should Miller and/or Bennett leave, there will be other moves at the position this offseason as Housler, Khari Lee and Gannon Sinclair aren’t likely to hold things down to the team’s satisfaction.
