The Facts: The New York Jets kept a piece of their passing attack Thursday by re-signing Sudfeld.
Diehards Line:
Sudfeld had five catches for 63 yards in 11 games in 2013 and then hauled in five catches again in 2014 for 85 yards. He has never found the end zone. The Jets placed Sudfeld on the season-ending injured reserve before the 2015 season started. He had to clear waivers before that happened because he was waived/injured after tearing his ACL during minicamp. Sudfeld’s re-signing comes after the Jets released tight end Jeff Cumberland Wednesday. Meanwhile, Kellen Davis is a free agent and Jace Amaro is coming back from shoulder surgery. Sudfeld is also a question mark since he tore his ACL and required surgery, but he at least gives the Jets some depth at a position of need.
