The Facts: The Colts have re-signed Allen to a four-year deal.
Diehards Line:
It's a bit of a surprise. Allen has loads of potential, but injuries have slowed his development. The athletic tight end had only 16 receptions for 109 yards last season. Still, PFT reports the veteran TE will get $29.4 million over the next four years with $12 million paid out in year one and $17 million through year two. It's not clear what his deal will mean for Coby Fleener, who is eligible to become an unrestricted free agent on Wednesday.
